Basic Health and Safety

This half day course will instruct students on the applicable legislation relevant to health and safety in the workplace.  Students will also cover occupational health issues and common accidents which occur in the workplace.  Basic fire safety, electrical safety and basic first aid will also be taught. 

Course Aims:

By the end of the course students will be able to: 

  • Recognise and increase the importance of Health and Safety in the workplace
  • Prevent work related accidents, injuries and illnesses
  • Raise standards in Health and Safety
  • Identify the need for Health and Safety Legislation.
