Infection Control

This half day course aims to instruct students on current Regulations and guidelines relating to the control of infection.  Students will be taught the practical importance of good personal hygiene and skills necessary to minimise the risk of spreading infection.  Importantly, students are also taught: 

  • Various infectious diseases likely to be encountered within a hospital environment
  • Clinical signs of infection
  • Equipment that can be responsible for the spread of infection
